1
Unroll the exercise mat in the middle of the room or in a clear area at least five feet from any other item. You want plenty of room surrounding the mat and bike because you will be standing, sitting and rocking back and forth on the bike as you work out and do not want to hit something.

2
Place the spinning bike on the mat and center it so that there is plenty of room surrounding the feet of the spinning bike. The mat will keep sweat from dripping on the floor and will provide a safe, non-slip surface for the bike feet.

3
Place the video screen in front of the bike, several feet away. This way you can watch motivational videos or spinning videos while you work out to keep your motivation level high.
-
4
Place a CD player near the video screen and choose a motivational CD to play while you work out. Place the fan either behind you or off to the side of the spinning bike so that you can adjust the amount of wind that blows on you while you work out. This will keep you cool and help moderate your temperature as you begin to sweat more.
