Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Remove the magazine by pressing the "Release" button on the bottom of the action and sliding the magazine out of the action well. Open the bolt and ensure that the gun is unloaded.

  2. Step 2

Press the action bolt safety, located down below the trigger guard, into the middle position so that the safety will clear the stock as it is removed. Use the screwdriver to remove the stock bolt in the middle bottom portion of the stock and unscrew the band bolt at the end of the stock.

  3. Step 3

Lift the barreled action out of the stock and use the punch to punch the trigger pins out of the side of the receiver. Lift the trigger assembly free from the receiver and then use the Allen wrench to remove the barrel clamp on the front base of the receiver.

  4. Step 4

Slide the old barrel out of the receiver and then securely tap the new barrel into place at the base of the receiver. Reinstall the barrel clamp and clamp screws with the Allen wrench and then place the trigger assembly back into the receiver. Shove the trigger pins back in place.

  5. Step 5

Slide the barreled receiver back into place in the stock and reinstall the stock screw. Secure the barrel band back in place at the end of the stock and ensure the safety is on. Take the gun to the range and sight it in.

Tips & Warnings
  • When installing a new barrel, it is a good time to inspect all of the action parts of the rifle and replace any that are worn or cracked.
