  1. How to Wear Headwraps

    • 1

Fold a scarf from end to end into a triangle. Place the folded edge against your hairline and tie the loose ends at the nape of your neck. Tuck the remaining ends under and you have the Gypsy look.

    • 2

Fold a scarf from end to end into a triangle. Start folding or rolling the scarf from the folded edge down to the point. Place it on your head like a headband and tie the ends at the nape of your neck. Secure either side with bobby pins.

    • 3

Fold a scarf from end to end into a triangle. Place the folded edge against your hairline and cross the ends over at the nape of your neck. Next bring the ends to the top of your head and tie in a knot. Tuck the remaining ends in and you have a turban.

    • 4

Place a pre-made bandanna on your head and tie the ends together in place. It is the simple alternative to scarves.

    How to Wear Headbands

    • 5

Dress up an outfit with a skinny headband decorated with rhinestones, made out of satin, or adorned with a bow.

    • 6

Push back hair with stretchy fabric headbands. They can be worn for style or used for holding hair in place while exercising or applying makeup. These headbands are super comfortable and easy to wash.

    • 7

Put scarf headbands on the same way you would regular headbands. They are made from the same material as scarves and tie at the ends. You can also secure in place with bobby pins on either side.

    • 8

Measure a ribbon around your head (leaving enough room to tie a bow) and cut. Place the ribbon on your head like a headband and tie. There are two options: wear the bow on top or to the side of your head for decoration, or rotate the ribbon and hide the bow underneath your hair. Either way you have a stylish headband.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with different scarves until you find the length, size, texture, and style that works best for you.

  • Headbands may cause headaches. If your plastic headband causes you a headache, try a ribbon, fabric, or scarf headband instead.
