How to Replace a Bulb on a Panasonic HDTV

Panasonic is one of the most popular electronics manufacturers and known for creating award-winning products like VIERA high definition plasma and LCD TVs. Many Panasonic TVs, most notably Panasonic HDTVs, are powered by lamps. They must occasionally be serviced for lamp bulb replacement since, like any other bulbs, the ones within the HDTVs will burn out sooner or later. Luckily, though, replacing the bulb on a Panasonic HDTV is a relatively simple process that you can complete yourself without the services of a repairman.

• Replacement Panasonic bulb

Instructions

1. Turn off the Panasonic HDTV. Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet and allow the lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting to change it.

2. Open the cover to the bulb, sometimes on the front of the TV and sometimes on the back, depending upon your model of Panasonic HDTV. Turn the knob located on the lamp cover to the "Open" position and then pull on the lamp cover to open it revealing the lamp beneath.

3. Turn the knob of the lamp unit to the "Open" position, and unscrew the old lamp from the TV by turning it counterclockwise.

4. Screw the new bulb within the light source by screwing it in clockwise, and then recover and relock each component.

Tips & Warnings

• The knobs will make clicking noises when they lock notifying you that they locked successfully.

• If the screen does not power on when your turn on the HDTV, double check to make sure each knob is locked correctly.
