Alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA, is a chemical found naturally in foods, such as apples, milk, pineapples, and grapes. Many beauty products contain any of the several forms of AHA because it has been found to rejuvenate the skin by helping remove the layers of dead skin cells that build up naturally on everyone's face and body. What is left behind is skin that is youthful, smooth and healthy. There are ways to manufacture AHA face creams at home by using the juices of fruit that naturally contain this beneficial chemical.
