How to Get a Hoover Steam Vac to Work

The Hoover SteamVac uses steam to help clean floor surfaces. Under most conditions the SteamVac works without problems. On occasion, the Hoover SteamVac will not start, even when all of the proper starting procedures are followed. Though some problems need a service technician for repair, other issues can be solved at home. Before sending your SteamVac for repairs if it doesn't start, troubleshoot the machine and attempt to fix it yourself to save time and money.

Instructions

1. Ensure that the power cord is fully plugged into an electrical outlet.

2. Plug a separate device into the same electrical outlet to ensure the outlet is receiving power. If the device does not work, a fuse may have blown or a circuit breaker may have tripped.

3. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker if needed.

4. Contact a service technician to repair your SteamVac. Some issues cannot be repaired at home and must be looked at by a qualified technician.
