Soften and dislodge the acne stains by applying an oil facial. It is important to use only an oil that will not clog the pores, such as olive oil. Pour around 1 tbsp. of olive oil into the palms of the hands, and massage the oil onto the skin using a deep pressure. After about 2 minutes of massaging, let the oil remain on the skin for an additional 5 minutes. After the allotted time, fill a bowl with nearly boiling water, and lean over the bowl no closer than twelve inches. Cover the head and bowl with a towel so that the steam envelops the skin. After about 5 minutes, wipe off the oil and sweat from the skin using the towel.

Buff off the softened acne stains by using an exfoliating scrub, such as baking soda. Baking soda is highly alkaline and comprised of smooth particulates, which allows it to slough off dead skin cells without damaging the skin. Pour 1 tbsp. of baking soda into the palm of the hand, and pour in 1 tsp. of water. Massage the baking soda mixture onto wet skin for 2 minutes using small, circular motions with the fingers. Rinse off the skin with warm water.

Rebuild skin cells by applying a toner that is high in vitamin C. Vitamin C supports skin cells' growth, and will help promote a smooth complexion if it is applied after the skin has been softened and exfoliated. Lemon juice is very high in vitamin C, and can be used daily on the skin to improve the tone and balance. Soak 5 cotton pads in concentrated lemon juice, and place them around the face -- 2 for the forehead, 1 for the chin, and 1 for each cheek. After about ten minutes, remove the pads and let the skin dry.
