Earning money as a kid can seem like a difficult task. Most business will not hire a kid under a certain age. Even with all the discouragement in earning money for kids there are some ways to earn money. These instructions for kids will help them find a way to make money and help them with a few understand the ropes to start their own business and earn money.

1. For kids to earn money the first thing you need to do is determine what you are good at. Make a list of all your special skills or abilities. These should include anything you can do that other people may be willing to pay you for.

   Walk dogs
   Babysit
   Make jewelry and sell it
   Write a kids newspaper and sell it

2. After you have several ideas you will need to review your list and decide which things will be the most practical. Look for things you can do to make a good amount of money that you will enjoy and will not take too long to earn your money. If you are starting out with little or no money you may also want to cross off any job that you would need money to start.

3. Now you will need to determine which ways of earning money for kids will fit into your schedule. This is very important! If you are in school this is a priority, sports and other activities may also be important and should not be affected when you are trying to earn money as a kid. Cross out any job listed that will affect your school life, social life, or health.

4. After you have determine which job you would like to do to earn money you will need to decide how much you will be willing to do the work for. This step is very important since over pricing will discourage people from giving you a chance to prove yourself but you also do not want to undercharge. Do a little research by looking at the classifieds and other people's advertisements to see what they are offering and try to stay at a price that is close to theirs. You can also determine the price you will charge by the amount of time you will have to spend doing the task. Just try to figure out how long it will take you to perform the task and multiply that by the amount you should earn each your. If you are selling items you have made your job is a little easier all you have to do is search for similar items and price yours in that same price area. Since you are just starting out you should probably price your service or merchandise a little lower than others so people will be incised to give you a chance.

5. Next you will need to advertise your new business to earn money. Fliers work great but word of mouth from friends or family members will do a lot for a kid trying to earn money.

6. Remember you are working for them so make sure you do the work you say you will and are committed to the job before you accept the work. It is better to give a little more than they expect without any additional charge. This will encourage them to hire you next time they need something done. To make the most of your business and to earn money as a kid you have to prove yourself, to do that you have to keep your work and do the best you can at every task.
