NACA, or the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America is currently sponsoring a Save the Dream Tour to help thousands of low to moderate income households with their mortgages. This is how you can get your mortgage modified with this organization.

Attend a NACA workshop in your area or schedule a counseling session online. Find out if there is a workshop in your area at this website: https://www.naca.com/refinance/statusIntro.jsp. If there is no workshop in your area you can sign up for a phone counseling session.

Completing a Ten Step submission here: https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceSubmission.jsp?language=en
This process will include your financial situation and other documents for NACA counselors to review.The financial documents should include:
a) Income verification for most recent available 30 days. For self-employed, six months of income verification. These should be paystubs.
b) Monthly Mortgage Statement (most recent available)
c) Tax Returns Authorization (Form 4506T). -

Check on the status of your file through the NACA website: https://www.naca.com/refinance/refinanceTenStep.jsp?isMember=true and request updates.

Negotiate a solution with NACA and your servicer after all your documents are submitted. Your loan servicer may or may not accept the solution. NACA will try their best to negotiate a resolution for you and the servicer. In most cases the loan rate will be reduced.
