Applying Sequin
-
1
Gather everything you will need into one clean area.
-
2
Clean the skin where you plan to use the sequins using a non-oily soap.
-
-
3
Use your daily moisturizer sparingly in the areas you plan to add the sequins, and allow it to dry completely.
-
4
Apply your makeup, and allow it to dry or set completely before continuing.
-
5
Apply a small dot of adhesive to the skin using a small, thin brush such as an eye shadow, lip or paintbrush. Wait a few moments for the adhesive to become sticky. If using spirit gum, pat it with a clean finger until it becomes tacky.
-
6
Pick up a sequin using tweezers or your finger, and press it into the adhesive. Apply gentle pressure for a few moments, until the sequin stays in place after you remove the pressure. Be patient; this may take some time.
-
7
Continue to place sequins by repeating Steps 5 and 6.
Removing Sequin
-
8
To remove sequins, use spirit gum remover or alcohol along the edges of the sequin, allowing it to seep underneath the sequins, and then gently pull them off of the skin.
-
9
Use makeup remover to remove makeup and any remaining adhesive.
-
10
Wash your face with soap to remove any remaining residue.
-
11
Follow up with your normal skin care routine. Be sure to moisturize because the adhesive and adhesive remover tends to dry out skin.

Tips & Warnings
Using a tray, plate or large-mouthed bowl to lay out sequins in single layers or even in your desired pattern makes working with them a bit easier.
The end of a taper candle can be easier to use for picking up and placing sequin than fingers or tweezers.
Both spirit gum and bindi glue are clear, while eyelash glue is either white or black.
Use dots just a bit smaller than the size of the sequin; this method keeps the glue from showing, and it helps with removing the sequins later because it allows the remover to seep under the sequins and get to the adhesive faster.
You can also use crystals and beads to add to the effect.
For a glamorous evening look, be conservative in placement, size, color and amount of sequin used. For a fun, futuristic look, experiment with colors, size and placements. For a fun, fantasy look, try creating a pattern with the sequins such as cat eyes or suns and moons. Only your imagination limits you.
Some people may be allergic to the adhesive or the remover, so be sure to do to a skin-patch test as directed on the containers 12 to 24 hours before using.
