1
Buy a heavy-duty concrete cleaner and a gallon sprayer. These are available from stores such as Home Depot, Lowe's and Walmart.
-
2
Pour the liquid concrete cleaner in the gallon sprayer. Follow all directions on the cleaning product. Some require water added while others are in powdered form. You may purchase a cleaner that is standalone and does not need water.

3
Attach the nozzle to the hose. Turn on the outside faucet and twist the nozzle setting to heavy spray. Hold the hose roughly five feet away from the cinder block. Use a sweeping motion to wash away any loose dirt particles and debris.
-
4
Spray the cleaner over the entire cinder block surface. If a large area needs a cleaning, you may wash in sections. Drench so the area is completely damp with the solution.
-
5
Wait roughly eight minutes before scrubbing the cinder block. Scour the concrete with the extended scrubbing brush in rows starting from the bottom and moving upward. Scrub back and forth twice in a row before going up. Continue until you scrub the entire surface.
