Instructions

    • 1

Choose the proper acrylic sink for your counter top. Ensure the sink will fit in the space and there is enough room underneath the sink.

    • 2

Place the paper template on the counter top. Make sure there are equal spaces behind and in front of the sink. Place masking tape around the template to guide you when cutting.

    • 3

Drill a 25mm hole just inside the taped area. Use the jigsaw to cut through the hole. Make several more hole to make it easier to cut the counter top. Saw along the taped area and do not go outside the lines. Remove the dust particles with a wire brush from underneath and on the surface of the counter top.

    • 4

Flip the counter top upside down on the floor on a cloth to prevent scratching. Place the acrylic sink over the hole and use a marker to trace around it. Put a line of silicone putty on the marker outline you drew.

    • 5

Stir a mixture of two-part epoxy that is placed on the screws near the lip of the sink. Tighten the nuts on the bolts with a pipe wrench. Leave the counter top on a flat surface so the epoxy can dry for 24 hours, which will reinforce the clamps to the sink.

    • 6

Cover the underside of the counter top with silicone putty, but do not apply too much or it will ooze out.

    • 7

Replace the drain basket by applying a line of silicone putty on the edge of the drain hole in the sink. Place the sink basket on the edge of the hole and push. Put the rubber gasket and lock nut on the tip of the basket and use a pipe wrench to tighten.

Attach a metal nut to the tail pipe and set a plastic washer on top of it. Connect it to the sink basket and tighten the nuts with a pipe wrench. Place the P-trap on the end of the tail pipe and hand tighten the nuts.
