How to Convert Microsoft PowerPoint for Free

Browse to the AuthorStream PowerPoint Converter using the link in the "Resources" section of this article. The AuthorStream converter is free to use for PowerPoint presentations of five minutes or less. For longer videos, a paid membership is required.

Click "Upload PowerPoint," then click "Single File Upload."

Click the "Browse" button. Browse to the location of the PowerPoint file on your computer and double click it.

Enter a title for your presentation. You may also enter a description, search tags and license. However, only the title is required.

Select a category, then click "Upload PowerPoint." After the PowerPoint presentation is uploaded, you will be taken to a new screen. A small box will be shown on the left side of the screen, saying "Conversion in Progress."

Wait a few moments for the conversion process to finish, then click "Your Uploaded Presentations." You will be taken to a new screen where a preview image of your presentation will be shown. Click the preview image, then click the Play button in the center of the image to play the presentation. Click the arrows on the bottom of the image to advance the presentation.

If you are uploading a presentation to AuthorStream for business use, use the check box when uploading to make your presentation private. This prevents those who are not approved by you from viewing potentially sensitive information.
AuthorStream prohibits the posting of PowerPoint presentations containing content that is protected by copyright or contains proprietary information that you do not have permission to distribute. Violations of this rule may result in your account being terminated.
