How to Register a Website Name
Registering your website's name or domain name allows you to secure your own corner of the Internet. Coupled with Web hosting services, you can build a website, blog or online store. Many domain name registrars exist on the Internet and prices vary between registrars. As of June 2011, new .COM registrations cost $11.99 with GoDaddy, $10.29 with Domain and $6.99 per year with Network Solutions. Domain names must be renewed annually or on the term you agree to when registering your new domain name.
