Click on your state in the left hand column and begin your search. Start off by searching for unclaimed money in your state. These money searches will show funds owed to you from unclaimed life insurance policies as well as any other property funds you might be owed.
Use your maiden name as well as any common mispellings of you first and last name. -

Repeat the search in states where your ancestors have lived. Many times older insurance policies will only show up in the state that the deceased lived in and had the policy.

If you should find money owed to you, provide the appropriate proof of evidence that you are indeed the rightful owner of the unclaimed insurance money. ID verification varies from state to state but a birth certificate, death certificate, photo ID, and tax records might be required.
