Instructions

    • 1

Locate the old vent fan. It's usually under the dashboard behind the glove box on the passenger's side.

    • 2

Detach the vent fan by gently pressing down on the sides of the wiring harness; you should feel the connection give way. Allow the wire harness to hang loose.

    • 3

Remove the two screws that hold the unit in place. Do not lose these screws.

    • 4

Remove the vent fan from the housing unit. This housing unit will be under the dashboard and just behind the glove box.

    • 5

Inspect the old unit. There should be a darkened spot on the sides. This is usually a sign that the unit is burned out.

    • 6

Install the new vent fan in the housing unit where the old one was just removed.

    • 7

Reattach the new vent fan in place with the two screws that you removed.

    • 8

Reconnect the vent fan by plugging it back into the wiring harness.

    • 9

Start your car and turn your fan on. You should be getting much cooler air.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are right-handed, enter the car from the driver's side; this is a tight spot to be in and can be quite difficult to reach the area. If you are left-handed, enter on the passenger's side.
