How to Donate a CPAP Machine
Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a common treatment for sleep apnea, a chronic condition that prevents you from getting a proper night's rest. CPAP treatment includes a mask that covers your mouth and nose and a machine that blows air into your throat to keep your airway open while you sleep. According to Sleepdex, a website dedicated to sleep issues, a CPAP machine can cost as much as $5,000. If you have equipment that you are going to replace, consider donating your old machine to someone who may not be able to afford treatment.
