How to Set Up Decoys in Duck Hunter Pro

Playing the "Duck Hunter Pro" video game can help you learn about duck hunting. Of course, the fact that Ducks Unlimited is involved brings realism to hunting 10 species of waterfowl in 16 different locations. Just like sitting in a duck blind, calling and shooting skill come into play, but decoy placement is the most important aspect of bringing ducks into range.

    Instructions

      • 1

Choose your location. Pothole, Field and Big Water are the only locations where you can use decoys in the game.

      • 2

Click on the icon that says "Set Decoys." This will bring up another screen.

      • 3

Pay attention to the wind direction. Ducks in the game behave like ducks in the marsh and prefer to land into the wind.

      • 4

Place the decoys in a U-shaped pattern with the landing zone at the upwind side of your spread.

      • 5

Use an even mix of drake and hen decoys and keep an eye on the "Duck Attraction Level" meter. The more green, the better.

      • 6

Select "Continue Hunting" and shoot some ducks.
