How to Reinstall a Taxcut State
H&R Block, a reputable tax-service corporation, has released TaxCut, a software suite designed to help home users prepare their taxes. As the software updates and tax laws change from state to state, users of TaxCut will need to reinstall and update the software. Reinstalling the state program of the TaxCut suite will ensure that tax returns are completed with the information necessary at the present time. Because of the constantly change state tax laws, it is vitally important that TaxCut's state program be reinstalled each year before filing.

Open the H&R Block At Home TaxCut program on your PC.

Click the "Tools" button on the menu bar.

Click the "Re-install State Program" option.

Choose the state in which you are filing taxes from the list of states that appear.

Click the "Re-install" button at the bottom of the screen.

Follow the instructions as indicated in the installation window. The program will then download the latest state requirements from the Internet.

Click the "Spotlight" button in the upper-right corner of the screen and type "H&RBlock" (without quotation marks).

Choose the first option that appears under the "Folders" subheading.

Highlight the file that represents the state in which you are filing taxes. The folders are named in the <state>.bundle format, where "<state>" represents the standard postal abbreviation for the state. IN.bundle, for example, would be the folder containing the documents required for Indiana taxpayers.

Delete the folder by dragging it to the trashcan located in your dock or by pressing "Command" + "Delete" on your keyboard.

Locate and open the folder called "Completed Updates."

Locate the .dmg file for the state you wish to reinstall (for example, IN.dmg).

Open the .dmg file.

Double-click the <state>.bundle file located inside the .dmg file.

Follow the instructions as they are presented on the screen. The software will then download the latest state updates and reinstall the state program into the TaxCut suite.
