How to Make Oragami Bags
The objects you can make using the ancient art of origami range from entertaining to useful. It can be fascinating to start with a piece of plain paper, perform some careful folds and creases and then finish with an intricate finished result of your folding. Entertain children by making small origami bags. These bags would be ideal for holding their precious trinkets.
Instructions

1
Fold the paper in half lengthwise and place it flat in front of you with the fold on top.
-
2
Bring the left side over the right side to fold the paper in half. Crease the fold and unfold it.
-
-
3
Take the left side of the paper and fold it in to the centerfold mark. Crease this fold. Take the right side of the paper and fold it in to the centerfold mark. Crease this fold.
-
4
Fold the left inner corner down at a diagonal and crease the fold. Repeat with the right inner corner.
-
5
Open out the left and right folded edges so you once again have the paper folded in half with the fold on top.
-
6
Push down with your index finger at the top left corner. As you push the paper down, allow the paper to fold along the diagonal fold you made previously. Crease this fold (it will have a triangle on top). Repeat with the top right corner. You should now have two folded triangles in the top half of the folded paper.
-
7
Fold the left side of the paper to the back along the fold line. Repeat with the right side of the paper. You should now have a rectangle shape with two smaller triangles at the top of the rectangle.
-
8
Find the flaps at the bottom of the rectangle. Fold the top flap up approximately 1/2 inch. Repeat this fold two more times until the folded edge of the flap is just under the two triangles.
-
9
Turn the paper over and repeat with the other flap on the other side. These folded flaps become the top of the bag.
-
10
Open the folded flaps carefully to reveal a small bag that is ideal for holding tiny objects.

Tips & Warnings
Make the same bag in a larger scale using a larger piece of paper.
Punch two holes in each folded flap and tie lengths of ribbon to the bag as handles, if desired. The handles will make the bag easy to carry and will help hold down the folded flaps.
