How to Find a Catholic Mass

There are 195 Catholic archdioceses and dioceses in the United States according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. More than 18,000 Catholic parishes or churches in cities across America compose these dioceses. It's rather simple to find a Catholic Mass as there are several resources that can be used to get the location of a church and Mass time information.

Instructions

1. Use a free third-party directory service that lists Catholic churches and Mass times. Users input a specific city, state, or even zip code to find directions to and Mass times of local Catholic churches; websites of the churches may even be listed. Examples of popular services include those provided by MassTimes.org and CatholicWeb.

2. Visit the catholic diocese or archdiocese' website that corresponds to your state and particular location as it should have a member directory of all Catholic churches in the area. Alternatively, call the diocese itself to inquire about local Catholic Masses. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' website maintains a listing of all dioceses and archdioceses in the United States and their website addresses.

3. Look in a local phonebook or yellow pages under the Churches section. Call the Catholic churches listed in the phonebook to find a Catholic Mass that may be nearby.

4. Ask friends and family members if they know about any local Catholic Mass times or directions to a Catholic church. Friends and family members may be able to connect you with church parishioners who can help you find a Catholic Mass.
