Denture tablets

Stains can develop on Melamine plates and cups if they are not rinsed immediately. But stains are also apt to appear over time just from everyday use of the dinnerware. Before buying another cleaning product, check your bathroom, kitchen and laundry room for solutions to remove stains of whatever color from your Melamine dinnerware. You may be surprised by the number of the products in your home that can be used as cleaning agents.
Denture-Cleaning Tablets
Step 1
Fill a coffee cup or mug with warm water. Drop in a denture-cleaning tablet. Leave the tablet in the cup for five minutes after the tablet dissolves. Pour the cleaning solution into another stained cup.

Wipe the cups with a damp sponge and check for any remaining stains.
Step 3
Clean stains on plates with a sponge dampened in the denture-cleaning solution.
Step 4
Wash the cups and plates with dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse with clean hot water and dry with a towel.
Baking Soda
Step 1
Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of baking soda on a plate. Add enough warm water to make a paste that has the consistency of toothpaste.
Step 2
Dampen a soft cloth or sponge and dip into the paste. Scrub the dishes until the stain is gone.
Step 3
Wash the dishes with dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse with clean hot water and dry with a towel.
Bleach

Step 1
Pour undiluted bleach into a stained cup. Leave the bleach in the cup for several minutes.
Step 2
Pour the bleach into another stained cup and repeat the procedure.
Step 3
Use a cloth or sponge dipped in the bleach to scrub the stains from plates and saucers.
Step 4
Wash the cups and dishes with dishwashing detergent and hot water to remove all the bleach. Rinse the dishes and dry with a towel.
Warning
Wear gloves to protect hands when using bleach.
