With new blu-ray technology taking over the video industry, we are afforded a distinct advantage when we are looking to buy used DVDs. They are dirt cheap, if you know where to look. You can get almost any movie, for less than five dollars if you do enough research. You can rest assured that someone, somewhere in the world is looking to unload it for a little extra pocket change.

1. Check resale shops around your home. These shops specialize in reselling all kinds of good merchandise from DVDs to video games to CDs. They will sometimes offer great prices for some really good finds. It is a good place to buy used DVDs.

2. When in doubt, check Ebay. Ebay is such a competitive marketplace, you should be able to find what you are looking for at some of the lowest prices. The only problem is that you don't get to actually see and feel the DVDs before you buy so you don't know if they will work.

3. See if any of your friends are willing to sell you their copy. Many times people will just give it to you if you ask the right way.

4. Search for the DVD on Amazon. Amazon is almost positive to have what you are looking for in stock but it may cost you a little more than other places to buy used DVDs here.
