Shampoo every two or three days. According to longhairstyles.org.uk, hair that has not been freshly washed is easier to style than just-shampooed locks. If you go to the gym and feel the need to refresh your hair, simply rinse and condition. Always apply a leave-in conditioner to your damp hair to help maintain moisture.

Pull your hair back into a classic pony tail. Using a hair tie that matches the color of your hair, smooth your hair back with your fingers and fasten in a tie at the nape of your neck for a low pony tail, or in the middle of your head for a more chic style.

Let your hair hang loose and natural. Spray a small amount of styling gel into damp hair. Flip your head upside down and scrunch a few times to emphasize the natural movement of your hair. Smooth any strays that are out of place. This look is very easy and looks great, especially during the summer.

Wear a three-strand braid or a French braid to create elegant look when you're in a hurry. For the three-strand braid, separate your hair into three sections and braid straight down your back. Gather the bottom with a hair tie. For the French braid, start right behind your bangs and finish down the middle of your back. If you're a little more daring, create two French braids on each side of your head. Pull each French braid behind your head and finish the style with one long braid down your back.
