How to Create a Web Page Survey in Word

Web pages are often created using software specially made for creating websites. However, Web pages can be created in Microsoft Word. Any documents you create in Microsoft Word can be saved as Web pages. Surveys are popular on the Internet. Instead of purchasing special software, create a Web page survey through Microsoft Word. You can customize the survey for your needs and even include backgrounds and images. Once created, you can upload the page to any Web host.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Microsoft Word and go to "File" and select "New." Choose "Web Page" from the options list to the right side of the screen.

    • 2

Go to "View" and select "Toolbars." Select "Web Tools" to view Web design tools. If you wish to draw objects and images on your web page, also select the "Drawing" toolbar.

    • 3

Type the text to introduce your Web survey at the top of the screen. Use the "Formatting" toolbar to change text size, font, color and alignment options. Go to "Insert" to choose images and backgrounds for your Web page.

    • 4

Use the "Web Tools" toolbar to add buttons, links, radio buttons, list boxes and other objects to your page. Click any object on the toolbar to automatically add it to your page. Use the handles on the object to resize it.

    • 5

Right click an object to change its properties, such as size and name. Choose "Properties." Choose "View Code" to add any special Visual Basic or HTML code behind your object.

    • 6

Add text beside objects if needed, especially beside survey selection objects.

    • 7

Go to "File" and select "Save." Open your Web page in a browser by double clicking the file name. Test to see that the page works as intended.
