How to Change a Braun ThermoScan Thermometer From Celsius to Fahrenheit

Use the Braun ThermoScan thermometer to take the temperature of all members of the family, from the oldest to the youngest 1. The ThermoScan ear thermometer senses the temperature inside the ear canal 1. This means that even parents of babies who cannot safely hold a thermometer under their tongue can still determine if their child has a fever. A quick scan of the ear produces the temperature in seconds, not minutes. These thermometers have readouts in both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales. You can switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit on the thermometer to see the temperature in the scale you best understand.

Turn off the ear thermometer using the power button 1.

Press and hold the start (I/O) button.

Continue to hold the start button when the F or C display appears. Watch for these displays to cycle over the display window.

Release the start button when the F display appears on the screen.

Listen for a beep and watch for the Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer to shut itself off, indicating that you changed the temperature scale to Fahrenheit successfully 1.

Follow the same procedure but release the start button when C shows on the display to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
