It is very easy to test window tint by using a test piece of tint.

  • Spray water bottle
  • Plastic putty knife

      Go to a window tint specialist. Ask for or purchase a small 1-by-1 foot or smaller scrap piece of window tint to test in your vehicle window.

      Spray several mists of water on the backside of the scrap piece of window tint.

      Lay the piece on the outside of a rear, side window on the vehicle. Use the plastic putty knife to flatten out the tint on the window surface.

      Get inside the vehicle at various times throughout the day and look through the tint. Decide if this is the tint darkness you like.

      Remove the scrap piece of window tint. Use the heat of the blow dryer over the scrap piece of window tint to peel it off. Wash the window with water once the tint is peeled off.
