Grab a phone directory and look under "Moving/Hauling." You'll probably find a list of five to 10 local moving or hauling companies depending on where you live. Contact each business individually and inquire about job openings. If the business is hiring, ask for what is needed to apply and give the manager your name. You'll likely just have to show up and fill out a quick application. If the company is not hiring, ask if you can call back in a month or two. The manager may even take your name because of your perseverance.
