1
Soften the acne scars on your back by applying an olive oil skin treatment, using a back scratcher to reach the scars. Attach a small washcloth to the end of a back scratcher using a rubber band or a hair tie. Soak the washcloth in olive oil, and apply the oil liberally to the back where the scarring is present. Soak a large washcloth in steaming hot water and wring it out. Drape the steaming towel over the back; it will cause the skin to soften even more. After the cloth cools, soak it in hot water again and lay it on the skin again. Once the cloth cools a second time, use it to wipe off the oil. This system of oiling and steaming the back will loosen and soften the skin, allowing the dead and scarred skin to be dislodged.

Scrub off the acne scars on the back by applying a baking soda exfoliant using the back scratcher. Attach a new small washcloth to the end of the back scratcher and moisten it. Pour about 2 tbsp. of baking soda onto the washcloth and apply it to the back. Gently move the back scratcher around, massaging the baking soda onto the scarred skin. After about 2 minutes, rinse the area well with water. Exfoliating the skin with baking soda removes dead and discolored skin cells.

Build new skin cells by applying a substance high in vitamin C. Attach a new small washcloth to the end of the back scratcher and soak it thoroughly in concentrated lemon juice. Apply the lemon juice liberally to the area that contains acne scars, and let it dry on the skin. The vitamin C in the lemon juice helps promote new skin cell growth, which can help diminish the appearance of acne scars.
