How to Pour Cement Into Molds
Although you may think that pouring cement is difficult, it is actually fairly easy. There are only a few simple steps to follow when you are creating the cement as well as pouring it. You just need to make sure you pour the cement properly to avoid a mess that can be difficult to clean up. Be sure you have all the tools necessary to get the job done before you begin. Things You'll Need
- Sand
- Concrete
- Bucket
- Cement mixer (hand-held)
- Cement mold
- Vegetable oil

Create a 50/50 blend of sand and concrete in the bucket.

Mix the concrete and sand with your hand-held cement mixer until it is thick and well blended.

Spray or dab your mold lightly with some vegetable oil. This is called a mold release, which will allow the hardened cement to fall out easily without friction or breaking.

Pour the bucket of cement into your cement mold. Leave about one finger's width of room from the top of the mold to the top of the cement.

Shake the mold slightly to help the cement settle and rid the mixture of air bubbles. Let the mixture set until it hardens.
Letting the mixture sit for about 24 hours will allow it time to dry.
