How to Remove Surya Henna Hair Color
Henna is a permanent hair dye. If you choose to use it, you should want to commit to it. However, because it is a natural dye, it may come out too bright or it may work with chemical dye you already have in your hair to turn your hair an undesirable color. Whatever disaster may have occurred, you want it out of your hair. Mineral oils may remove the henna. You may not be able to remove the henna completely, but you can remove enough with mineral oils so you can go to the hairdresser and get your hair color professionally corrected. Things You'll Need
- Mineral oil
- 70% rubbing alcohol
- Cotton balls
- Hair dryer
- Plastic wrap/plastic shower cap
- Cleansing/clarifying shampoo
- Conditioner

Pour a generous amount of rubbing alcohol into a cotton ball.

Rub the cotton ball onto your hair to soak your hair strands. Let the alcohol soak in for 10 to 15 minutes.

Rub mineral oil over your alcohol-soaked hair.

Cover your head with plastic food wrap or a plastic shower cap. Wait 10-15 minutes to let everthing soak in.

Remove the covering. Blow-dry your hair for 30-45 minutes.

Apply shampoo to your oiled hair, but do not use water. Massage the shampoo into your hair, and make sure it completely covers all oiled areas.

Rinse out the shampoo with water. You may need to shampoo a few times to remove all of the oil and henna.

Apply a leave-in conditioner to your hair. Conditioner will restore moisture to your hair.

Tips & Warnings
If your hair still looks bad, go to your hairdresser. Your hairdresser will remove the henna will a non-chemical, fruit-based color strip. This will take enough of the henna out so the hairdresser can dye your hair a desired color with a chemical dye.
