1
Check the band around the bottom of the bra. It should hold your breasts firmly in place, but it should also be comfortable. If you are unable to run your finger under the bottom strap, look for a bra in a bigger size.

2
Do not wear a small bra to achieve cleavage. This can cause damage and bruising to sensitive breast tissue

3
Ideally, the center panel on the bra should lay flush against your breast bone. If there is any puckering away from your body the cup size is too small or you need a bra that has a larger panel to accommodate the area between your breasts.
-
4
Do not purchase a bra that has an underwire that pokes the skin on your breasts or reaches to the area near your arm pits. The underwire should also lay flat against the rib cage.
-
5
Wear a wider strap. Many bras that are too small or have narrower straps will dig into the shoulders. This is especially important for women with larger breasts who have to support the extra weight with adequate straps.
-
6
Wear a bra that has a back strap which lays lower on the back to accommodate the breast weight.
-
7
Check your profile in a mirror. Your breasts should be sitting half way between your elbow and the top of your shoulder.
