How to Work for JetBlue Airlines at Home

If the idea of telecommuting appeals to you, JetBlue employs hundreds of reservation crew members who work from home. Employees who telecommute are monitored for performance. All calls are recorded and employees are videotaped. As a JetBlue employee, working from home gives you more flexibility, but you must maintain professionalism just as if you were working on-site.

Application and Requirements

  • To apply, visit the company's website and click on the "Work Here" link. You can also apply through LinkedIn. The reservation crew member works all shifts so you should have flexible hours. You're required to know how to type 25 words per minute and use Microsoft Office. Your work space should be void of background noise. A telephone line and Internet access at a speed of at least 256K connection is required. You must also have a high-school diploma or GED and at least two years of customer service experience.

Working From Home

  • JetBlue has call centers in Salt Lake City and Orlando. Due to the possibility of technical difficulties, you must live within 60 miles of either city to be eligible to work from home. Working from home is not mandatory, but the majority of reservation crew members do. The requirements to work from home vs. the office are the same, and the company provides the equipment you need if you want to work from home. If you want to work on-site, say so in the interview. Note that being bilingual is a plus in the Orlando office. According to the company's website, the reservation crew member is the only position offered that allows you to work from home.
