Soap Dish Technique
-
1
Place a small dish beside the shower and when soap bars get too small to handle, drop them in the dish. It is best to do this while the soap is still wet. The moisture will cause it to bond with other soap.
-
2
Using a spoon, scoop the collected soap mass out of the dish. It should retain the shape of the dish.
-
3
Take the new "bar" of soap into the shower. Press it tightly between your palms to fuse the pieces. Use the soap as if it was a fresh bar.
Glycerin Soap Method
-
1
Collect soap slivers.
-
2
Melt glycerin on the stove top in a double boiler or in a microwave oven in a microwave-safe bowl.
-
3
Pour a small amount of glycerin into a plastic container.
-
4
Place used soap chips into the glycerin. Add more glycerin and soap chips in layers until container is full.
-
5
Wait for the glycerin to cool, then remove the soap from the container.
Stocking Soap
-
1
Save soap chips.
-
2
Cut a 10-inch piece of nylon stocking and knot one end, creating a tube.
-
3
Drop soap chips into the nylon stocking tube. Knot the open end. Use it like a bar of soap.
Hand Soap Method
-
1
Collect soap chips.
-
2
Combine the soap chips in a microwave-safe bowl with one cup of water. Microwave until the soap is melted. Let it sit overnight.
-
3
Pour the liquid soap into a hand-soap dispenser and use.
