How to Prepare Amla Hair Oil
Hair needs regular conditioning to maintain its health and luster. Things You'll Need
- Small bowl
- Teaspoon measure
- Cup measure
- Amla powder
- Coconut oil
- Fenugreek powder
- Stove
- Strainer
- Bottle

Preparing amla oil

Mix 2 tsp. amla powder, 1 tsp. fenugreek powder and 1 cup of coconut oil in a saucepan.

Simmer the mixture over low heat until it turns brown, but not black.

Remove from heat, allow to cool and strain mixture into a bottle.

When ready to use, warm amla oil and massage into hair and scalp.

Wait 15 minutes, then shampoo and rinse hair thoroughly with warm water.

Tips & Warnings
Amla oil will keep for a minimum of two weeks.
Treat hair with amla oil once or twice a week to prevent hair loss.
Do not refrigerate amla oil.

I'm an ayurvedic consultant and this recipe is spot on. Only thing I might suggest is to make a double batch, store it without straining and then strain smaller portions as needed. This is because the oil becomes more infused over time and the effects stronger.
