Making the Car
-
1
Find a side view of a car in a magazine. Trace the outline of the car onto a piece of paper. The tires should be touching one edge.
-
2
Fold the paper in half, edges together and the car you drew facing you. Cut out the wheels and bottom of the car from bumper to bumper, cutting through both sides of the paper.
-
-
3
Unfold the paper and draw the second car on the other side, mirroring the lines you drew for the original car in Step 1. Draw lines connecting the bumpers, hood, roof and trunk of the car.
-
4
Fold the paper into thirds, dividing along the edges you just drew for the profiles and top of the car. The paper should look like a table with the car wheels on both sides touching the work surface.
-
5
Bend the paper downward where the windshield extends from the roof of the car to the hood. Decorate the car with markers.
-
6
Tape the edges together to make the car three-dimensional.

Tips & Warnings
You can find templates for cars to cut out and fold together on papercraft websites. To make the cars move, cut out a piece of paper with a hole across the underside of the car. Insert a marble and tape the paper into place. The marble should be able to touch the table top and not be so small that it falls through the hole.
