How to Lay Flowers at a Grave
It's always very difficult when a loved one passes away. Visiting the loved one by his grave site is a way to help heal the wounds of losing him. Taking flowers is a great way to honor his life and to leave something behind. When flowers are laid, however, they can be blown away very easily. Purchasing a vase to put the flowers in is a great way to keep the flowers safer.
Things You'll Need

1
Cut the stems of flowers on an angle to ensure a long flower lifespan.

Pour water into a vase so that the vase is half full.
-
4
Add one packet of flower food to the water in the vase.
-
5
Add a crushed aspirin tablet, one penny and a sugar cube to the water. These items ensure a longer lifespan for the flowers.

Place the flowers in the vase.
-
7
Dig up a little soil with a spade.
-
8
Place the vase 2 inches into the soil.
-
9
Cover the vase's sides with soil. This anchors the vase so that it doesn't fall over.
