Disposable razors are much more affordable than your everyday razor. Even everyday razors require you to buy new razor blades. A disposable razor blade can be cleaned and used several times before it has to be thrown away. Keeping it clean will extend the life of the razor blade.
Things You'll Need
- Disposable razor
- Running water
- Cotton ball
- Paper towel
Place the razor under running water a few times while you are shaving. You want to shave two lines and then set the razor under the running water. This will remove the hair and shaving cream from the razor so the next area can be shaved properly. Make sure you flip the razor over to allow the running water to clean both sides of the razor.
Give the disposable razor a final rinse under the running water. Do this when you have finished shaving for the day.
Pour some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and give the blades a good wipe down. Don't forget to do both sides of the razor. This will clean your disposable razor and get it ready for the next time you need it.
Pat your disposable razor dry with a paper towel. Slide the protective cover that came with it back on the razor.
Tips & Warnings
- Store your disposable razor in a medicine cabinet or somewhere it won't get wet between shaves.
- If you put your disposable razor away wet, it will begin to rust. Then you will have to throw it away earlier than you otherwise would.
