      Clean the windows with soap and water and let dry. The caulking cord should be installed with temperatures above 20 degrees F.

      Measure the inside of the window frame on all four sides of each window.

      Use a utility knife and cut the caulking cord weatherstripping to length for each side of the window.

      Press the cord against the right side of the window and right window jamb to form a tight bond.

      Press the cord against the left side of the window and left window jamb to form a tight bond.

      Press the cord against the upper side of the lower window and lower side of the upper window where they meet to form a tight bond.

      Press the cord against the bottom of the window and sill to form a tight bond.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ensure that the corners overlap and push hard to seal the corners

  • Applying the cord properly, it commonly lasts one to two years.

  • Always measure the window to be weatherstripped twice before cutting anything.
