How to Treat Flat Warts With Candida
Warts are infectious lesions caused by the human papillomavirus. Flat warts are a smooth type of wart that can appear by the dozens. In addition to several previous studies, a study led by Arkansas dermatologist Dr. Thomas Horn, published in the May 2005 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, showed that injection of Candida (a cause of yeast infections) into a flat wart of people previously exposed to Candida causes an immune response that gets rid not only of the injected wart but also any others on the body.

Find a dermatologist who is familiar with this procedure.

Find out if the doctor thinks your warts are amenable to this sort of treatment or if there is an easier treatment to be tried first, such as liquid nitrogen.

Return for a different injection if the first doesn't give the desired result. It may be that you were not previously exposed to the injected antigen and therefore need a different antigen to trigger an immune response. Fortunately, there are antigens other than Candida that can stimulate the immune system to attach to HPV in warts. Dr. Horn's studies and others before his found that an injection of mumps or Trichophyton (a cause of fungal infection) can cause the same wart-removing immune response.

An injection may be a convenient alternative to over-the-counter treatment such as salicylic acid, which can take months of application to wear away each wart.
Injections are particularly recommended for patients with numerous warts or warts over a large area.
Injections have demonstrated an ability to get rid of warts that are recalcitrant to other treatments, such as liquid-nitrogen freezing.
