Paper crafts are a great way to pass the time on a rainy day, when you're bored or as a way to help restless children wind down. Paper cup canons are sure to become a favorite around the house, and will provide children (and even adults) with hours of fun. Creating a paper canon only takes a few minutes and can be done with a few inexpensive materials.
Things You'll Need
- Paper cup w/ lid
- Latex glove
- Rubber band
Punch a hole in the bottom of the paper cup with your scissors.
Punch out the bottom of the cup. If there are rough edges, it won't matter, as long as the bottom is out of the cup.
Cut out the palm of the latex glove and stretch it over the bottom of the cup.
Secure the latex using a rubber band. The latex needs to be air-tight in order to work, so use tape along with the rubber band (if necessary).
Cut a circle in the center of the lid. Be sure there are no other openings in the lid. Attach the lid to the top of the cup. Check to make sure it is secure.
Hold the paper cup canon in the air horizontally with the lid area facing someone nearby. Gently stretch the latex with one hand while holding the canon with your other hand. Release the latex to shoot a ring of air toward the person you are aiming at.
