Purchase a dehydrator. This includes picking out one that is feasible for your price. Dehydrators can be found online at www.cabelas.com, www.amazon.com, or at the online auction site, www.ebay.com. Use an online search engine to review pricing for a dehydrator for saving money.

Open one bag of miniature marshmallows. Spread the marshmallows across the dehydrating tray. Do not stack the marshmallows in any manner, and make sure that none of the marshmallows are touching when the dehydrator is started.

Begin dehydration. Check the marshmallows every 10 minutes. Once they reach the size and hardness you desire, turn off the dehydrator.

Purchase a bag of miniature marshmallows. Plain, white marshmallows work the best.

Open the bag and leave in a cupboard where they cannot be contaminated by infesting bugs.

After one week, check the marshmallows. They should be at a hard texture that is difficult to smash when you press a marshmallow between your fingers. If after one week this is not accomplished, put the bag back and check every two days until at the required consistency.

Do not expect all of the marshmallows to turn out as you choose. Some will not keep the shape of marshmallows as you expect, but the majority shall.
