How to Use White Strips

White strips are thin, flexible, and clear strips that you can wear to achieve a brighter smile. The sparkling results come from the help of a hydrogen peroxide bleaching system. While they are not recommended for use against blue-gray or very dark stains, wearing the strips twice a day for thirty minutes can cause noticeably whiter teeth in any time from 14 days to a month.

Things You'll Need

• White strips
• Paper towel
• Water

Instructions

1. Read the instructions on the back of the box of white strips carefully. Open the box and pull out two separate strips; one for the top row of your teeth and one for the bottom. Unwrap the strip that is to go on your top row.

2. Carefully place the strip sticky side down against your front teeth, making sure that the strip starts right at the gum-line and wraps around the entire row of teeth. Use your fingers to press down any air bubbles so that the strip is tightly sealed to your teeth. Repeat with the remaining strip, instead applying to the bottom row of teeth.

3. Wait for thirty minutes. Don't eat or drink anything while you're waiting. Sleeping is also to be avoided while wearing the white strips. When the time is up, use your fingers to peel away the white strips and throw them away. Use a paper towel to wipe off any excess bleach gel left over from your teeth, and rinse your mouth out with water to remove the rest.
