Instructions

  1. Troubleshooting

    • 1

Open the dishwasher. Look at the dishwasher cup and make sure that it is clean and clear of any obstructions.

    • 2

Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the main electrical panel. If there is a power cutoff switch near the dishwasher, shut off the power there.

    • 3

Look under the timer and ensure that the spring and plastic timer are not broken. When this occurs, the soap dish will not stay closed.

    • 4

Install a new screw if the spring is unhooked. If the spring is intact, check the dispenser arms, door cover and handle. Check the spray arms by removing the lower rack in the dishwasher. Spin the arms with your hand. The arms should move freely with no restrictions. Pull up on the end of the spray arms. You should be able to wiggle the spray arms up and down. Look at the spray seams for any cracks or damage. If the spray seams are damaged, this could be the problem, and the spray arms should be replaced. Check the door cover and handle for damage.
