Instructions

Open a magazine to a random page in the center and carefully pull out one page. Set the page aside. Close the magazine and set it face up on the table. Fold the right top corner over, so that the top edge is even with the side spine of the magazine. Crease the fold. Turn the folded page to the left. Fold the top corner of the next page even with the spine and crease. Turn the folded page to the left. Repeat with every page of the magazine. Stand the folded magazine and let the folded pages fan out. This is half of the angel's body. Fold another magazine of the same size for the other half of the angel body.

Apply craft glue to the outer folded front and back cover of one magazine. Match the folded front and back covers of both magazines to adhere. Allow the glue to dry. Stand the angel body and evenly arrange the folds. Paint the angel body using white spray paint. Sprinkle white or crystal glitter on the wet paint of the angel body. Allow the paint to dry. Lightly spray the body with clear acrylic sealer to set the glitter.

Apply a dab of craft glue to the end of a wood skewer. Insert the skewer into a 2 1/2-inch Styrofoam ball for the angel head. Paint the ball using peach acrylic paint and allow to dry. Insert the skewer through the center of a round 6-inch white crochet doily. Apply craft glue to the length of the skewer and insert it into the peak of the angel body. Arrange the doily over the peak of the body. Cut an 18 inch length of 1/4-inch wide ribbon. Wrap the ribbon below the head and above the doily. Tie it into a bow. The bow will be the front of the angel.

Rub a palm size amount of craft doll hair between your hands. This will give the hair a little fluff. Apply craft glue to the top, sides and back of the Styrofoam head and arrange the doll hair over it. Dip the blunt end of a wood skewer in black acrylic paint and dot two eyes on the angel face. Cut an 8 inch length of gold or silver tinsel pipe cleaner. Form the pipe cleaner into a circle and overlap the ends. Twist the ends over the circle to secure. Apply craft glue to one side of the circle ring and place it on top of the angel head for the halo.

Fold over a 1/2 inch of one long edge of the magazine page that was set aside and crease. Turn the page over and fold the same edge a 1/2 inch to the other side and crease. Repeat this accordion fold for the entire page. With the accordion folds held together, fold the length, matching the short ends. Crease the fold to mark the center. Open the length and with the accordion folds still held together, wrap the remaining 4 inches of pipe cleaner around the center crease.

Pull each accordion folded end open to create the wings of the angel. Paint both side of the wings with white spray paint and sprinkle with white or crystal glitter while the paint is still wet. Spray with clear acrylic sealer to set. Allow the paint to dry. Apply hot glue over the pipe cleaner on one side of the wings, and place it on the back of the angel at the neck. Hold it in place until it is cool.
