How to Recover a Damaged Floppy Disk
A floppy disk is a magnetic data storage medium which is usually enclosed in a square plastic shell. The floppy disks are read or written using the floppy disk drive. The most common dimension of the floppy disk is 3 1/2 inches. There are also 5 1/4- and 8-inch floppy disks, but they are not used nowadays. The floppy disk is known for its high rate of failure and is one of the most unreliable secondary storage mediums. Though CDs and DVDs have become the main storage media nowadays, floppy disks are still in use.
