How to Reduce Pimples and Redness Quickly

We all get those days where we get a pimple out of nowhere and poke at it. Here are a few tips that can help reduce redness, and irritation of the pimple.

Things You'll Need

  • Toothpaste, pimple cream, face wash.
  • First, you need to make sure you get enough sleep. Sleep plays a primary role in how your face will turn out the next morning. The better rested your face is, the least likely you are to see blemishes.

  • Try not to eat as much greasy food, although most of us cannot stay away from it. Just try to keep this to a minimal.

  • Wash your face several times a day. Try not to use too much exfoliating face washes, they damage your skin and can be bad for you if overused. A good way to wash your face is by putting your face over a bowl of hot water so that your pores open up, allowing you to clean them out more efficiently.

  • Before you sleep, you can simply apply some tooth paste to your pimples. This will reduce redness and shrink the pimple over night! It works! Or you can use a pimple cream with benzyl peroxide. My experience is that the tooth paste will dry out the pimple and reduce redness.

  • To reduce the visibility of scarring or, in time, completely eliminate them, apply some hair conditioner to your skin where the scar appears. Leave it on and wipe it off with a towel after 30 minutes. You will not see immediate effects, but over time you will begin to see results.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep in mind that sleep and hydration is the key to a clearer and cleaner face. There are no miracle products out there!
