How to Apply Pure Castor Oil to Hair for Dry Ends
Castor oil is a fixed oil (one that does not evaporate) that is produced from the seeds of a castor oil plant. It has many uses including medicinal. In addition to that, castor oil is often used as a lubricant. It can lubricate anything from an industrial machine to the ends of your hair. Wet your hair and then pat it dry.

Pour some castor oil in a microwave-safe bowl. The amount you need depends on how thick your hair is. Thin hair may require only a half a cup of oil, while thick hair may require a whole cup. Heat the castor oil in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Section your hair into four to six sections. Use hair ties or clips to hold the sections in place.

Dip a brush (makeup brushes will do) into the castor oil and paint the oil on to the ends of your hair. Make sure you get the front and back of each section. Work through one section at a time.

Blow dry the ends of the hair. The heat will push the castor oil deeper into the hair.

Wash your hair as you normally would.

Tips & Warnings
If you find that your whole head of hair has become dry, use the castor oil the same way you would a hot-oil treatment.
Castor oil also works well to grow new hair if you find that your hair is thinning out.
