Add essential oils. Add one type of citrus oil, such as grapefruit, mandarin or lime, to bring out the citrus aroma. Then add one or two complimentary essential oils of your choosing. To add a floral aroma, rose oil works well. For a more herbal aroma, clary sage oil can be added. Add cedarwood oil for a warm, woody aroma. Add spearmint oil to give your scent a light, fresh, minty note. Add just a few drops of each oil at a time, and keep smelling until you achieve your desired scent.
