How to Apply Castor Oil for Under Eye Wrinkles

There are two main contributing factors to eye wrinkles: genetics and the environment. There is not a lot you can do about genetics, but you can make healthy choices about staying out of the sun, hydrating your skin and your environment by using a humidifier indoors, eating right, and avoiding stress. But what to do when those pesky eye wrinkles still appear? Castor oil, which is inexpensive and readily available, may be just the solution. Castor oil is known for its medical use. It is made from the Castor oil plant which is indigenous to India.

The quick treatment can be used daily or every other day, and is best done right before bedtime. First, wash your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser. Be sure to remove all traces of make up, especially around the eye area.

Deep Treatment

Clean face thoroughly paying special attention to the eye area. Be sure to remove all traces of make up. Put a few drops of Castor oil on two sterile gauze pads. Prepare a warm washcloth. Make sure the water you use is not too hot. You may use a thermal eye pack for this step. Warm it in the microwave according to package directions.

Lie down in a comfortable place. You may want to put on some soothing music. Place the oil-infused gauze pads on your eyes. Cover the pads with the warm washcloth or the heated thermal eye pack.

Relax for at least 30 minutes, allowing the oil to soak into the under eye area. Remove the eye pack and gauze pads.

Using a sweeping motion starting from the inner eye and moving out to the cheekbone, lightly massage the under eye area for about 60 seconds.
